We test, assess and qualify technical rubber goods and thermoplastic components for you. Founded in 1996 as O-Ring Prüflabor Richter GmbH, we have since outgrown our ‘sealing shoes’ and have developed from a pure O-ring testing laboratory into a respected centre of excellence for elastomers. Elastomer testing
The heart of our company is our accredited and fully digitalized testing laboratory. Here we have access to all the testing and analysis methods we need for the comprehensive analysis of elastomers. Our aim is to ensure that our equipment is always state-of-the-art, and we meet this requirement by regularly and extensively investing in testing equipment and software. In our laboratory, we can perform tests according to almost all common automotive and industrial specifications, and our reports are accepted by all major OEMs. Reliable test results also form the basis for all problem-related tasks that we process for our customers.

Analytical testing
With our state-of-the-art analytical department, we can analyze all polymer materials, i.e. elastomers as well as thermoplastics and duromers, with regard to their ingredients and their qualitative and quantitative composition. The analysis of deposits, particles or impurities, the identification of unknown substances or the analysis of the outgassing behavior of polymer materials are also among the tasks in which we support our customers reliably, quickly and competently.

Resistance testing for the oil industry (static and dynamic)
As an independent specialist for elastomers and seals, we are the perfect partner for the oil industry when it comes to testing the compatibility of new and existing lubricant formulations with elastomers. We understand the interactions between base oils and additives with elastomers, and this specialist knowledge ensures that our tests are as reproducible and reliable as possible. This applies to both static storage tests and dynamic test bench tests and is one reason why our results are accepted by almost all relevant OEMs.

With over 3500 failure analyses carried out on elastomer products, there is no provider in the world that can better help you to understand damage and reliably avoid its causes. We are well versed in all relevant disciplines, i.e. in testing, materials, applications and processing, and our analyses are carried out exclusively by experienced engineers. In addition to the test results, the final report contains a summary that is easy to understand, even for non-experts, and clear recommendations for action. In this way, we not only provide you with explanations, but also solve your problems with elastomer products in the long term.
